Allow me to let this drift... as I have been driving more than staying still for the past 3 days.
60 kms is ideal for a lazy cruise. That was on a Saturday noon when me and lei are heading to the midwives for a regular check up.
While the normal reading is 120 over 80, 160 over 55 was her blood pressure when we arrived there.
I wanted to run to the building across the road if I was only carrying her. They told us to see the doctors immediately . We were walking slowly as fast as we could.
She was stabbed by machines to read the baby's heart rate, her heart rate, her blood density and her blood pressure. A witches hat was provided for her urine.
I was scraped by the events that were running 150 kms.
Breathe and hold the steering wheel.
Her blood pressure screeched to a miracle of 120 over 80. Baby was still kicking inside letting us know that she can handle the speed.
I was burning tires on Sunday again. And this time I wanted to ram the slower cars in front of us. She was hypertensive again. I was as angry as her blood pressure which was on a rampage. I can see the throbbing veins on her face.
The metals are now deeper. 3 inches of needles on both hands, steroids shots to accelerate the maturity of the baby's lungs in case they would pull her out from her womb, a catheter into her urethra to control fluid flow out of her body, magnesium were burning her veins like petrol, she was vomiting already.
I was frozen with the stampede of events.
Suddenly I was speeding through the freeway. The ambulance driver told me to go ahead to catch up. She will be transferred to a level three hospital since our local hospital is not qualified to handle pre-eclampsia.
PRE-ECLAMPSIA
"If pre-eclampsia develops into eclampsia, your blood pressure will become extremely high and both you and your baby will be at great risk. Eclampsia can cause seizure or convulsions, which can lead to coma and can be fatal. If it happens, eclampsia usually develops in late pregnancy or just after the baby is born."
I was anxious already. It is nearly 30 minutes but they haven't arrived yet.
Finally, the doors flew open and there she was holding a dizzy bag. She said, the ambulance ride was awesome! 4 midwives were attending her. They said they are considering a C-section if things get worse.
3 hours after, she was snoring as if out of breath. At least, she is alright and fast asleep now.
Knowing she was ok, I drove home. 80kms, 60, 80, 100 again, slowing at 60, and 80, and 100 again... exactly like what just happened. Heading to the roundabout reminds me how to steer through this - always look to the "right".
I'm home but she's not here.
Just now, as I am writing this she texted that her blood shot up to 170. The highest as of yet, Getting ready for the road again.
I need fuel guys. Your prayers that is. She has just updated her blog and you can leave her a message there:
getlei-d.blogspot.com
She always makes me laugh. Please say your prayers...for her and for the baby which is just about 7 months in the womb.
P.S.
We have decided to name the baby Lilly Soleil

7 months? did the doctor suggested to deliver the baby via C-section and then just incubate her for 2 more months? your doctor should give you options. the info you have right now will drive you crazy as it is.

thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. don't stop though. :)
@doc mic
by today she is 29 weeks. they're monitoring her blood for protein traces. i think twice a day. her blood pressure is fluctuating from 130'90 to 150'100. if the blood pressure will shoot over 160 for hours i think they'll put in the magnesium again and push through the c-section. she feels weak all the time. though ganado naman kumain ang buntis. naghahanap nga ng sinigang na bangus. good luck. hmm does that make sense? too tired. just arrived home from the hospital. its 11pm now. aside from being in the office all day.
@ace gusto mo soleil ayshee?
@mesai i definitely agree mes. they said they don't want to deliver the baby because it is premature and babies that are born between 28-30 weeks have 90% chance of survival. they don't want to gamble the remaining 10%. As long as they can control her blood pressure and the protein count in the blood is not bad, they want the baby to mature. I understand it very well. Though the waiting is killing us, ish our baby we're worried of sai...

not to worry basky, Victoria has one of the best prenatal care facitlies in the country so rest assured your baby is in good hands.
I do understand what your feeling our baby was born at 27weeks premature and weighed just over 1kg i could almost fit her entire body in the palm of my hand she's now 5yrs old btw.
dont strees too much all will be well, all the best.

almost the same case here, wifey just delivered a baby girl but the mother had a high bp and was rejected by the local paanakan, we rushed her to the hospital and we're expecting for a CS. magnesium was like hell to her, mainit daw and she was also cathetered. what was good about her is that malakas ang loob nya... she delivered normal.
.
the baby? she had to undergo lab tests.kawawa lang kasi twice siyang kinunan ng dugo @ 5cc each just for the lab test alone at tatlong beses pa nadislodged yung needle (umiiyak na ang nanay at nagagalit na ang lola). thank god negative lahat ng tests.
now, after just few days we got out from the hospital, meron akong nakapang bukol just below her chest, sa me sikmura, which is it shouldn't have. this i guess would mean another series of lab tests (hopefully not).
.
i've not yet reported back for work for more than 2 weeks now, i am trying to be calm and relax all the time which you should be also...
and hope for the best.
